This week’s edition of the GameSpot UK Podcast is the first to feature two guests in the form of Robin Burrows from Microsoft and Andy Reif of the Championship Gaming Series. There’s also an amazing competition for an Xbox 360 Elite, a year of Xbox Live and a mountain of Microsoft Points, so get listening and more importantly, get entering!

Wii Fit Video Diary

This week, I was stupid enough to embark on a one-and-a-half month Wii Fit challenge. Me and my fellow GameSpot editors will be using Nintendo’s exercise-em-up for the next six weeks to see if it can help us become fitter and healthier. The first part of the video is below, and I’ll be posting more updates on the GameSpot Wii Fit Editors’ Diary.

Housewarming video

17 May 2008 In: general thoughts

Last night, me and my housemates had a housewarming party to celebrate moving into our new flat in North East London. After reading a cool guide on Lifehacker on how to document the party, I set up a time-lapse video using my Mac Mini in the living room and left the thing running all night. I think the results are pretty sweet, but let me know what you think in the comments.

Pendulum Gig Review

13 May 2008 In: video games

Xbox Live held a live music event last night at Fabric to celebrate the launch of Pendulum‘s new album (they’re also taking part in ‘Game with Fame‘ later in the month).

I’m by no means a drum ‘n’ bass fan–my last live encounter with the genre was Roni Size back in 2000, but I enjoyed this band and would recommend them live to anyone with a passing interest in dance music.

The only bad part about the night was the guy who introduced them. Having recently reached the heights of the UK Singles Top 10, the introducer assured us that it was still ok to like Pendulum despite their mainstream success. Check out the cringe-worthy video below.
